TO THE ATTENTION OF THE UNDERSIGNED, i.e., myself and TO WHOM IT MAY INTEREST (read at own risk, reading level: mature grown ups only)
January 31 of 2026: Last day of the month in EST (UTC-5) time zone Canada, but already February 2026 in other parts of the world as in Europe and Asia. A camera installed in Ottawa Ontario Canada K1G3P2 will show a time stamp of January 31 of 2026 where as IF there was a camera installed in Eindhoven Netherlands or Karachi Pakistan or Tokyo Japan and taking my pictures remotely will show a time stamp of February 01 of 2026 for the same event same snapshot in Ottawa Ontario Canada K1G3P2 19h30-
January 31 of 2026: Remained indoors misc reasons, short walk only around the neighbourhood, morning evening..
January 30 of 2026: bought a dish of fried wings and a beverage for dine in at auldi pub in byward market ottawa downtown, I have been a customer of this location since 2006. Paid my dinning bill by cash. Back to my apartment around 19h00. It appeared to me that perhaps the bar tender was under some illusion or wrong information, when I asked for the bill, he asked “you have to pay ??”, I replied I always pay for my food (always implied to certain situations/context such as when I was a consumer/buyer of food, there may be situations when payment for the food was not required on the spot rather it was included with something else as in meetings, traveling, parties, emergencies, hospital, confinement, detentions, shelters, family, relatives etc.)
January 30 of 2026: stepped outside the building, walked around the neighbourhood, weather is getting better, not as cold as was this morning.
January 30 of 2026: waiting for my previous employers from the East (such as Honeywell HTAL, Sabic/IBN Sina in Jubail, KFUPM in Dhahran) or NEC tokyo to rectify the others wrong doings in my working life (which was sabotaged, has been documented in precautionary notes) and give me an opportunity to roll back my life to my past, back on the same track as before.
January 29 of 2026: Prova restaurant ottawa downtown, OCTranspo client services centre at Rideau centre. Long wait, so visited Shoppers drug mart in the mall to check my monthly pass on presto, cashier could not print the report on a slip so I asked her before taking a picture of the display of her presto handheld device. This morning found rush hour route 265 from Eagleson back towards Dominion.
January 28 of 2026: misc. carlingwood etc. Made few stops, visited Scotibank branch on Bank St Glebe area. Coffee at Starbucjs glebe, paid Rogers phone bill, bought top up for lucky mobile from Rexall minto place. Made few stops, in the evening went out for a long loop back to my apartment via Vanier etc.
January 27 of 2026: bought my lunch around noon time for dine in at a restaurant near Scotiabank branch visited few minutes earlier. Restaurant was not well prepared for lunch time, order taker came back to the table asking me for my second choice because first choice was not ready to be prepared. So I bought and paid just for the side order of it.
January 27 of 2026: visited Scotiabank branch ariund 11h45 to get a direct deposit enrolment form, bank has discontinued this form. For all purposes fir all direct deposits they use only one form i.e. payroll direct deposit, although all the direct deposits are not from payroll. I submitted one such enrolment form in November 2023 to Service Canada which was issued by the Scotiabank branch on Bank street and was stamped by Service Canada west centre.
Following link will open a pdf file of the enrolment form submitted by the undersigned to Service Canada in November 2023. Touch, Tap or Click on the link below.

For any discrepency or change after that Service Canada should approach the Bank for any clarifications.
January 26 of 2026: I called service Canada/OAS between 11h15 and 11h45 to find out if there was any update required from my side after Scotiabank permanently closed the physical Branch 00406 but my account remained usable electronically after the physical branch closure in summer of 2025. No impact on direct deposits, great to know that. After physical branch was closed it becomes a digital branch on the internet, many financial institutions have this kind of branches such as PC financial, Simplii financial etc. First digital branch ever, I used was CIBC digital branch in Hamilton Ontario Canada in 2017 about nine years ago.
January 25 of 2026: back indoors after visiting downtown area, some kind of protest was in progress near war memorial, made few stops on the way back, bought cappuccino from a coffeeshop located inside a hotel to warm up for few minutes, bought chicken noodle soup from independent grocery store in the mall. This was a cold day in Ottawa.
January 24 of 2026: around 06h10 pm when I stepped outdoors through the front door of the building a big woman entered the lobby behind me through the open door with a speak phobe in her hand.
January 23 of 2026: visited Scotiabank branch in downtown to get a printed of direct deposit information and clarifications. Branch did not stamp the print so went to the next branch 1145 Bank St., Since the original branch was permanently closed and merged in 2025 where my account was setup, branch address was not printed on the direct deposit authorization form. This branch also did not stamp the document rather wrote the branch address on the document by hand and overwrite on the address. It was almost branch closing time, not much time to find other details or to get another document etc. some other time, next visit. Made few stops on the way, back to my apartment. When a branch of a bank was permanently closed and merged, accounts should automatically belong to the Headquarter (main) branch of the Bank/financial institution.
January 23 of 2026: call from OCH twice around 10h00 and 13h45 for 2024 CRA NOA and OAS paperwork, not much has changed since previously submitted documents, still the same, they don’t want to get it directly from the source organization i.e. CRA and Service Canada.
January 23 of 2026: I visited the Scotiabank branch to contact Ottawa south branch, recorded a message, wrote an email describing the fee discount issue etc. In response I received a all back from the branch around 11h40, it was established that it is their system issue that bank deducts full fee than refunds a senior discount which makes it two step process. Bank officer felt sorry that she could not fix this issue. Other banks do it as one step process that for seniors they reduce the fee before deducting it from the account.
January 22 of 2026: today I received an email message in ky inbox with a financial report from CST, not sure why they send these reports to me, these reports should be sent directly to the beneficiaries of the CST plans, I was a contributor to the plans initially since 1994 but not any more, my offsprings i.e. the beneficiaries of the plans have grown up and CST should maintain contact with them. , not with the male parent.
January 22 of 2026: stepped out of my apartment around 19h30 for a brief period of time, few people were seen in the lobby, around the elevators, went outdoors to feel wether, after using the men’s room, lights of the lounge were seen turned on from outdoors, many people were seen in the lounge busy with some activity, not sure what. Etc. a car was seen stopped outside the building in the driveway. came back to my apt. from parking side.
January 22 of 2026: back in my apartment after visiting downtown, Bayshore area etc. visited Scotiabank branch but was very busy decided to call the bank in the evening by phone to get few clarifications.
January 21 of 2026: went outdoors for a short walk, visited Minto place building, came back to my apartment via Heron Rd area, St-Laurent etc. made few stops on the way back, when I arrived at the building around 13h15 a food truck was seen outside the building, many people were lining up waiting for their turn, two people were seen loading some furniture in a truck, a man offered to sell a piece of furniture for X amount of dollars, which I declined, I entered through the “B” side door, a man was seen sitting on the steps of the stairways.
January 20 of 2026: coffee with Peanut Butter Energy Bites (balls perhaps consisting of some dates or jelly contents) at BH Carlingwood location, back at my ID address around 10h15 via Baseline Station, Greensboro, Billings bridge (quick shopping of few food essentials during bus wait time), Hurdman.
January 19 of 2026: according to NHK news Japan 23h00 “Ottawa County Michigan” was under snow storm warning. “Ottawa Ontario Canada” near Montreal, where I live was not in a snow storm condition at present.
January 19 of 2026: “outside generator trouble” was the message seen on annunciator panel in the lobby with beeping sound and blinking amber light around 15h00. Went outdoors for a short walk only because of slipper/slushy conditions. Prepared and dined indoors in my apartment from my own supplies.
January 19 of 2026: called BMO to get the matter resolved around 09h15, also contacted BMO by messenger describing the situation.
January 18 of 2026: 12h30 to 17h45 misc. Back in my apartment. Fries with coffee at Kelsey’s.
January 18 of 2026: BMO phone customer service was not responding busy tone when called using 613 – numbers around 14h50, got connected when I called using 289 – but some other issues were encountered. Service has become unreliable.
January 17 of 2026: Scotiabank’s zero dollar monthly fee “at a certain balance” feature was not activated on my chequing account, rather it deducted monthly fee from my account to reduce the balance below that threshold amount. Should have happened automatically without manual intervention by the bank staff or an in-person reminder. Another issue I detected was in applying the senior discount to monthly fee package, it was not done automatically, system deducts full fee than a discount is refunded to the account, a two step process. Automatic discount would mean that system should apply discount before deducting the fee, I wonder if they have entered wrong date of birth or perhaps their system automation was faulty.
January 17 of 2026: unknown, unpleasant odor was detected as soon as I entered my apartment around 18h30.
January 17 of 2025: one alterations dhop in ottawa has no machine for making Button holes. I attended some employment programs in this mall around 2006/2007 referred by OTI of Kanata. I saw button holes making machines in 60s, 70s in Karachi, Pakistan.
January 17 of 2026: OC transpo Route 11 should update the sign to ..xxx…… via Tunney’s pasture ……xxx.. in both directions instead of showing anything else as via, will make more sense for less frequently users of the transit.
January 17 of 2026: feeling better today, fully recovered and fit, Out and about bybthe noon time.
January 16 of 2026: bought a combo with coffee in the morning at a McDonald’s on main street, bought few food essentials from a grocery store. Back to my apartment around 10h00. Called pc financial to find out about a specific transaction. Today my feet and body feel a bit soar due to walking in between bus rides on deep soft snow and uneven/lumpy snow surface sidewalk etc.
January 15 of 2026: after this recent incident with the credit card company and the fast food merchant in ottawa Ontario Canada, it appears to me that merchants and service providers have no respect for the consumers and not concerned about the consequences of such obvious bad behaviour and wrong doings. Must have very strong backing from positions of power to do this.
January 15 of 2026: called scotiabank credit card again around 18h00 and around 18h30 to followup on dispute (claim #: CD-2601-7466) cancellation with the merchant. Card company want to delay dispute cancellation, very strange. I filed a dispute and cancelled it because it was not worth it, why the credit card company would delay cancelling the dispute. I am not asking them to get any money from the merchant, rather I am asking them to just leave it as it happened, I will take the loss of less than $20.00 for this time only – perhaps they have some food bank program, I will consider that I donated the extra payment amount to their food bank program. End of discussion.
January 15 of 2026: this was a heavy snow day in Ottawa Ontario Canada K1G3P2, which made it difficult to walk on snow due to its depth on the side walks, transit way and roads were covered with snow, made it looked white, caused glare, as if the snow plough service of the city was overwhelmed by the heavy snow fall and were not able to attend to it quickly to prevent accumulation. This morning stepped out of my apartment early during heavy snow and returned around noon time, made few stops on the way, including Rexall store in the neighbourhood.
January 14 of 2026: bought my first meal of the day for dine in at a restaurant in downtown, paid in full amount by cash only less than dollar chain by pc card. slept little for an hour in the afternoon, in the evening went to down town to buy a specific item was not available at a store in Rideau centre. 06h00-20h00
January 13 of 2026: stepped out of my apartment around 21h00 for a short walk, it was rainy and windy night.
January 12 of 2026: bought my lunch from a sushi shop at St-Laurent mall, this morning I called the scotiabank visa card complaint handling (shutup duty insert during my post) department to withdraw the request I submitted past Saturday Jan 10 pertaining to EDO fast food 548 (double payment issue). Requested/promised email was not received yet, however it was withdrawn under the same number.
My financial records will show two payments for one meal at the same time, same place, same merchant. it was not worth to claim a less than 20 dollars payment reversal from the merchant. Two payments will not mean “two can dine” promotion. It was more like “one can dine” for the “price of two meals”.
January 12 of 2026: tap machines on few buses were not able to read my presto fare card so I visited the OC transo customer service centre at Rideau centre to find out the reason for it, clerk at the windows asked me if the presto card was registered or not to print something not known to me. I informed him that it was not mandatory to register the presto card on the web. I have come across similar situation several times before as well, almost like a periodically occurring feature that fare tap machines stop reading my presto cards, instead of showing a green light, show a big red popup message on the fare box with a scary sound, may be due to faulty and low quality technology or something else, whivh my be due to the human intervention, perhaps due to frequent staff changes, whenever there are new teams recruited in this city, they start repeating the same old syllabus on my monthly pass. I check my presto card at the machine or take my monthly pass on presto card to the service centre for check up. This started happening recently since 2023 because of the presto card for fare payment, in the past before 2011 OC transpo used different system for monthly passes and tickets which was temper proof and could not be used to block the pass and there were no tap machines to breakdown (shutup text insertion) while using Public transit, In the begining I used my own my car.
Made few stops before returning to my place. Visited BMO downtown, ATM/ABM machine was hiding balance on the mini statements due to some problem. Spoke to a human teller at the counter. Minto place, bridgehead for coffee and balls of dates.
January 11 of 2026: stepped out early morning, ate my quick breakfast begote goingout, bought a beveragevst a Tim Hortons, came back via downtown Rideau before lunch time.
January 11 of 2026: I do not use a satellite dish TV antenna, probably someone else who lived in apartment 307 used a Satellite dish antenna. I use digital antenna with my old TV, abd still works.
January 10 of 2026: second time this month (within a period of ten days) fire department crew was seen in the building, once in the morning and now at night around 21h45, there was some kind of flooding situation this time in the building on the lobby floor and one floor up.
January 10 of 2026: questionable register practices of Edo Japan fast food shop.
January 10 of 2026: “did not go through” loud announcement made by a Edo Japan 548 fast food shop cashier and took two payments for one meal, asked me to use another card, this place involved in some kind of fraud/scam. I decided to donate the extra payment to food bank meals, instead of asking the shop owner to pay me back, would have been hassle. Better would be to avoid such places. Shop Did not print transaction decline/failure report before asking for another payment method.
January 09 of 2026: a rainy day in Ottawa with milder temperatures, which was causing the snow thawing and creating small puddles, not suitable to be outdoors.
January 08 of 2026: a laundry hamper was seen left outside my apartment door around 17h45, later on was removed by some one. I do not own and do not use any hampers in my apartment.
January 08 of 2026: visited a building where Robert Half (RH) staffing agency was located in DT Ottawa, I was referred to Robert Half company nearly 19 years ago for some employment opportunities. At that time there were no security desks in these buildings. It appears to me that these security desks were added to these buildings to enhance the security during the period after 2011, but why, perhaps to create non-technical employment in abundance.. was it not safer before 2011 or did it become safer after 2011 due to security desks in all these building in DTO. Security desk and information desk are different type of roles. Role of information desk was replaced by the automated kiosk like intercom to contact the companies from the lobby.
January 08 of 2026: I wonder who was calling me from number +16134136126 around 10h00 and why, I was busy at a Staples store with an important matter, when I returned the call no one answered around 10h30
January 08 of 2026: A firetruck and an ambulance was seen outside the building in the driveway around 0640. Several buses were seen heading towards the St-Laurent Station and stopping at McDonald’s during the past 20 minutes but no in-service bus was seen coming from St-Laurent station heading towards Elmvale station.
January 07 of 2026: 06h30 – 15h30, remained indoors for the rest of the day.
January 07 of 2026: a rowdy crowdy stampede short bus. OC transpo should train the bus drivers not to allow more than a certain number of passengers on short buses and ask for additional buses instead of loading the bus over capacity, i.e. observe capacity rules, for the safety of the passengers. Winter clothing further reduces the space on the vehicles and makes it congested.
January 07 of 2026: bought coffee with chocolate mousse for breakfast at a restaurant in Kanata, contacted CRA and MSCA for some clarification and records etc.
January 06 of 2026: bought a pot of tea with fruits at a restaurant near TD place, made two payment to master card at a bank branch, H&R block refused my request for “adavance filing” of my 2025 without submitting to CRA untill they declare open. Since I have no other income other than the OAS/OW-CPP, it should be possible to prepare the tax file based on the previous T4 + estimation for the 2025.
Bought my lunch for dine-in at Colonade restaurant, paid exact amount by debit card.
January 05 of 2026: snowy removal operation was witnessed in the city this evening.
January 05 of 2026: just got back around 16h20, this was a snowy day in Ottawa, causing flow of traffic slow down. Lot of accumulation of snow on the roads and on the side walk. Visited the Woodridge crescent area/BayShore mall area where once I lived and shopped with my three offsprings/babies and their mother, in the year 1998. Bought few items from buck or two plus store for a total of ten dollars so there was no small change involved/not collected. These were only consumables, nothing valuable.
January 04 of 2026: when cloud storage came into existence initially, yahoo and few other companies were promoting it by offering 1TB of free storage (which was almost like unlimited storage for email etc). offer has been revised to 20GB which was still a huge amount of storage space for personal usage.
January 03 of 2026: Marriott Ottawa downtown has no happy hour on Saturdays, bought fries with coffee for dine-in, settled the bill with cash payment.
January 03 of 2026: went outdoors for a quick 15 minutes short walk to the Haig Drive and back to apartment and used the men’s washroom in corridor “A” before exiting through the garden/gardening side “A” door.
January 02 of 2026: coffee at Starbucks downtown, came back home via walkley, Heron Rd, St-Laurent, Gloucester Centre. Entrance to Walmart adjacent to Dollarama was not seen there anymore, rather a wall was seen instead. Route 24 was running with a signage of “Montreal” which meant “Montreal Rd”, instead of Shafford or Blackburn Hamlet or Beacon Hill.
January 01 of 2026: bought my lunch for dine-in at “craft beer” restaurant. Took care of few other chores and back to my apartment. Few people were seen sitting in the lobby and chatting when I entered the lobby from outdoors.
January 01 of 2026: stepped out of the building few minutes past midnight but because of the snow activity outdoors came back to my apartment and decided not to proceed to Byward market to see the decoration lighting etc, due to snow, transit on newyear eve might have been at a reduced level, ie. to avoid longer wait times.
Canada in New year 2026: But my physical location “Ottawa Ontario Canada K1G3P2” was in January 2026 after 90 minutes.
