April 01 of 2024: PC financials made false (empty) promises over the phone at night on March 31 to activate the account/card which was blocked due to a transaction here in Alkhobar Saudi Arabia, a transaction of less than seven dollars. Problem still persisted on April 01 of 2024 and the login was not restored which is required to look at the transactions, balance etc.
April 02 of 2024: I went outdoors around 15h00 visited Alrajhi and SNB, walked to Tamimi grocery store, this store accepts cash US$ as currency of payment in addition to local currency. It makes it much easier for people to shop without a trip to currency exchange, if and when required.
April 03 and 04 of 2024: remained indoors most of the day, temp was around 30° celcius. Went outdoors for walk early morning around 04, quick trip to farm super Stores #16 around noon time for a bottle of water and misc. In the evening around six when it was a bit cooler went outdoors for a long walk and used a taxi to come back to my neighbourhood of aqrabiah. Not all the atm machines here recognise cards issued by a specific bank in Canada. perhaps atm machines for international users are different than the local users.
April 05 of 2024: went out for a long walk to Alrajhi Mall area and Grand Hyatt, from there used a cab to go Mall of Dhahran and back to Almazraa Farm Super 16. Bought my groceries. when I entered the lobby of the building, a Bangladeshi speaking person (speaks broken Hindi in a funny accent with limited vocabulary) intercepted me around the stairs and said something about tomorrow sixth. Also said that he was manager. This person was not known to me so I asked him for my rent receiver because it was a different person who signed rent paper on March 7th and received 2800 riyals cash from me. I was told he was on vacation. I asked the Bangladeshi speaking person who appointed him manager of the place. He did not answer rather he was trying to show a small piece of paper like a slip etc. Did not make much sense to me so I proceede to my apartment 301 (not 307). I am not sure who this person was and why he was interfering with me. He comes from somewhere and sits in the lobby in a corner chair. Sometimes he sits outdoors on the doorsteps with another person.
April 06 of 2024: I heard a knock on my door around 4PM and someone one’s voice while I was busy making a post which disturbed my concentration, I went to the door, this was the same person who intercepted me on April 05 in the lobby when I was entering the stairs to go to my apartment 301, when I saw him I checked my pockets and looked at my money, and said in Urdu which translates to “don’t worry I have money to pay my rent”, I asked him for receipt and the other person i.e. the first person who issued and signed the rental paper on March 07, he was trying to tell me something about whatsapp and his other hotels, I said I was busy, we will talk later, he left. He knocked on my door 301 again few minutes ago around 21h11, woke me up in my sleep. He did not bring receipt, as I told him when he knocked earlier on my door 301, not sure what he was saying. He has confrontational behaviour and intentions, malicious intents. This Bangladeshi accent/speaking person is not the original person who made the rental deal with me on March 7 in the evening when he offered and rented to me i.e. Mr. Mohammed was Arabic speaking person. He signed first in Arabic and I signed after him in Urdu and initialed in English. {I was feeling sleepy at that tine, I dealth with the matter i.e. to pay rent tomorrow on April 07 of 2024 in the morning.} He should receive rent from me at the apartment door 301 and issue a receipt (fatura) in English or bilingual on the spot at the apartment 301 door, to avoid any mistakes/confusions in this transaction. Only than he will know that {KHALID MAHMOOD of apt. 301} paid rent, other wise he will think of somebody else. Same person Knocked on my door 301 again past midnight on April 07 of 2024 to tell me that he was leaving, will come back tomorrow, he was showing something on his phone screen, fatura.
My rental arrangement in this Building started on March 7th, but I want to make it first to first of every month, instead of 7th to 7th. So I will pay for the remaining three weeks of the month of April, after that I will pay on May 01 of 2024 for the whole month and so on in the future.
April 06 of 2024: my apartment 301 door in Alkhobar aqrabiah is two levels up from the lobby and is on the right side when used the stairs to go to my apartment but my apartment 301 will be on the left when used elevator to go up to my apartment 301. (Lobby apartments are numbered 101, 102 etc.). So coming out of elevator “right side” is different than the going up by stairs “right side” just opposite.
I just heard door closing sound on floor 2 around 23h15 same floor where my apartment 301 was located. Heard some furniture pushing sounds as well.
April 07 of 2024: Same person (as on April 06) Knocked on my door 301 again past midnight on April 07 of 2024 to tell me that he was leaving, will come back tomorrow, he was showing something on his phone screen, fatura.
April 07 of 2024: I waa waiting in my apartment 301 for my rent receiver to come with a receipt complete this transaction. I have no plan to step out today, no grocery trip etc. I have reserved that s day just to complete the rent payment transaction.
Some one was calling me whatsapp few minutes ago, hung up without any response 14h50
April 07 of 2024: around 16h00 , Bangladeshi speaking person came to take rent from me without receipt, I paid him 2100 riyals, he was not able to understand to apply this 2100/- riyals rent for the remaining three weeks of april to start from 1st of May on monthly, he said next rent due will be on 5th of May. I asked him to write on a piece of paper the money he received from me and what was owed in any language.
I started my tenancy in this apartment 301 on the 7th of March now he says next rent will be due on 5th. Why ?? I asked him for a witness, he said something about his honesty by saying that he was Muslim etc. there was a security camera pointed at my door, so I said camera witness.
(For the past one week (almost) he was disturbing by telling me how many days left to pay rent, some times by intercepting me while I was heading towards stairs to go to my apartment, knocked on my apartment door several times before the rent payment etc.,) I am not sure what the monthly rent systems is here in this area of Alaqrabiyah, he was like counting days, he told me next will be on 5th of Next month. The money that I paid today 2100/- SAR covers rent untill the end of April 2024 as prorated rent for remaining three weeks. So instead of 5th I will pay full month rent on the First of May 2024.
This situation is new for me because my housing in the past was always covered by the contract and I never had to deal with rent receivers and their hidden agendas.
Late evening I was given a draft receipt for the rent I paid in the evening eralier around 4 pm, receipt was with many mistakes, wrong name, and no signatures, I have no intentions to change my name, I want to keep my name as it was on my passport. My passport number and other details were entered in the computer system before printing the rental paper on March 7 of 2024. Receipt or NO receipt I have paid my rent 2100/- Saudi Riyals (pro rated) for the remaining three weeks of the month of April 2024. For 69 (or 67) years by the two calendar systems, I lived with my name خالدمحمود and I have no intentions to change it at this age. The way operators of the building are strict about receiving rent, they should be responsible for issuing accurate documents/receipts as well.
April 2024 is my second month in this building, picture shown below located on 3rd street.
Another explanation to understand this matter is as follows. Rental agreement was signed on March 07 after 5 PM, but I moved in apt 301 on March 08 because on March 07 I slept in my paid room at Hotel Night Inn. I took possession of apt 301 in the morning of March 08 of 2024. So I used this apt 301 for only 3 weeks in March 2024 but I paid for 4 weeks an mount of 2800/- Saudi Riyal. Which means I paid rent for one week of April in advance which is 700/- Riyals. I paid 2100/- Riyals in April on 7th,which makes a total of 2800/- Riyals paid in April. (or simply swap the payments 2800/- for April 2024 and 2100/- for March 2024).

April 08 of 2025: few minutes ago I heard a voice message on my 289-990-6590 mobile from eye doctor in Brampton Ontario Canada reminding me for a regular eye checkup, I returned the call to acknowledge her message around 11h40 local time in KSA and recorded a voice message on the number provided in the voice message.
April 08 of 2024: somebody or something shut the door close around 13h45 when I was indoors and the door was ajar slightly open, nearly closed but not fully closed, I thought it was gust of wind which closed the door fully, when I opened the door again it was the same man outside my door who collected rent from me on April 07 of 2024. When he saw me open the door again he mubmled something like babies in unclear speech pointing towards the opposite door. I closed the door and went in the shower.
April 08 of 2024: contacted Motorola mea for upgrade to android 14.
April 09 of 2024: went outdoors around quarter to ten for a health walk and groceries, total time about one hour.
April 10 of 2024: Eid Day 2024/1445, called emirates airlines and submitted a request to cancel skywards membership due to wrong and inaccurate information contained in it (some else’s flights shown under my membership, I did not travel on those dates). Following is the wring information. Not my flight. Due to this problem I have instructed them to disable the skwards membership.
April 10 of 2024: In my past life of Saudi Arabia I always lived on compounds, i.e. housing provided by the company as per the contract and never got a chance to learn the following in local communities about certain names. Such as محمود becomes حمود (Hamoud) and محمد becomes حمد Hammad perhaps when they say it with fluency.
April 10 of 2024: before Eid taxi drivers used to bump up the meter at the end of the trip by saying taxes added, today on Eid Day a taxi I used from a mall reduced the meter (from 18.xx to 16.xx) at the end of the trip when I asked him for the total after taxes. Some kind of reversal on his meter. I paid him 20.00 SAR regardless of the meter, got my change due back out of 100/- SAR. Walked around a bit before getting to lulu hyper market and Golden Tulip Hotel area. Visited the upper floor of the market to find out about a specific model of a droid phone, spoke to a security man at the customer service desk on the upper floor before entering the sales floor.
April 10 of 2024 same man was seen on the upper floor more than one time and using elevator instead of stairs as was seen before.
April 11 of 2024: expired key was re programmed around 14h30, after that I remained indoors rest of the day.

April 14 of 2024: early morning went outdoors for a walk, on way back bought groceries from a 24 Hours open Tamimi store and walked back to the building and back into my apartment by about 07h00 am, about one hour walk + grocery shopping.
April 14 of 2025: Name “خالد” and “محمود”, with all combination and permutations of it are a common name in this part of the world, but I have unique characteristics and can not be mixed and can not be taken as a replacement for another person with similar name as me. In this building I met with one person of same name but of Egyptian مصرى origin, the operator of Night Inn was same name as me but Egyptian مصرى origin. There me be other people in this building as tenant or as workers or as operators of this building. I am not involved with this building, business or operators in any capacity or position. I am just a rent paying tenant since March 07 of 2024 (26/8/1445AH).
April 14 of 2024: a pharmacist in the neighbourhood was trying to sell me Aspirin 100 mg (in a blue box) when I asked him to refill my empty bottle of aspirin 325 mg, he did not have the refill, so I asked for equivalent, he pulled a 100 mg supply which is totally different (in Canada 81mg aspirin is recommended for heart related conditions). But 325 mg is for regular usage. So eventually, I bought a Panadol brand instead of Aspirin or Acetomenophene, was not available).
April 15 of 2024: Saudi Arabia is the only GCC country where I lived in my past life, specifically in Dhahran (KFUPM – RI) and Jubail (HTAL and IBN Sina National Methanol SABIC Group), no any other GCC country.
April 15 of 2024: heavy downpour in Alkhobar suddenly around 21h50 when I was at the coffee shop maqhi Mays and Reem Cafe, it was raining cats a d dogs, never seen before in Saudi Arabia, I bought a cookie from this coffee shop just diagonally across from the building, minutes before the wind and rain started. Quickly came back to my apartment without finishing the cookie because it was falling apart into pieces, so could not carry it in my hand in the heavy downpour.
April 16 of 2024: I can see through the windows of my living room puddles of water (like small ponds) after the past night’s rain. So I am not going outdoors today because splashy vehicles (like in Ottawa slush splashing vehicles used to come around) might come out to ruin the day. Hopefully by tomorrow the streets will dry up.
April 17 of 2024: (around 18h00) that man and one of the tenants was seen in the lobby chatting with each other, tenant on the floor 3 Mr. Majnoon spoke to me and made a knuckle shake, Bangladeshi speaking person spoke to me about paisa. I am not sure what he means by the word paisa. Amount of money I have paid 4900.00 Saudi Riyals to this company covers rent for seven weeks (one full month and pro rated three weeks) upto the end of the month of April 2024, since I took possession on March 08th of 2024. He should ask me for furthe rent after this 4900.00 runs out. If he keeps on demanding money from me before the first of the month of May, I will contact Embassy to intervene and stop this problem. My rent is not weekly it is monthly, but to make rent payable first to first, it is normal and acceptable to pro rate rent either in March or in April. Simple to understand 2800+2100 = 4900.00 paid untill the end of April of 2024. Next 2800.00 Riyals will be due on May 01 of 2024. Perhaps, this is one of the reasons (other than marketing and promotional incentives) that companies provide first two months free of rent not to have this dispute and they start full month’s rent (i.e. first to first) from the third month.
April 18 of 2024: First time ever in Saudi Arabia I saw a poster (also on TV like displays) of a restaurant emphizing on the word “Halal”, I thought that was the norm in Saudi Arabia without mentioning the word.
April 19 of 2024: That same man came and knocked on my door around 20h45 asking for money. I told him my situation. He mentioned about his kafil that his kafil was asking for money. I said tell your kafil to come and talk to me. Money I have paid is still 2800.00 and 2100.00 sum of 4900.00 SAR is sufficient for rent untill the end of April 2024.
What is my protection, I do not know this man and he keeps asking me for money. Mohammed original responsible person مسؤول issued me a signed rental paper, he did not mention anything about this man to pay him rent or deal with him for anything. This person did not show me any letter of authorization or permit to receive rent from me. This is vulnerable situation for me, he has no fear of anyone and perhaps has backing of some one or just bluffing, why don’t they operate these businesses honestly and transparently. As a tenant what are my rights. Money that I have paid in March (part of the month) and April full month is sufficient to cover rent until April 30. I explained to him that I will pay on the first of the next month. He does not seem to accept that. When I mention about Mohammed, he says “finished” , after taking money he will disappear, so what was my protection. Why should I trust him with my money, if he can not trust me. Is there a balance in rights and responsibility. True Respect and true Trust are feelings mutually exchanged, otherwise not possible to have respect or trust.
I am rent payer (not money receiver), Arabic word for rent payer is المستاجر as mentioned in the image shown above for signatures. The other person was the money receiver and issuer of the rental paper on March 07 of 2024. Since March 27 Mohammed was not seen in the building and the banglai speaking man became rent receiver and told me Mohammed was gone to another hotel in Hafr al Batin etc., I have no information who runs this building. What is the authorization of this bangali man. This situation is like replicating the rent receivers behaviour in Hamilton Canada where I was paying rent (direct pay through OW system) to people who never disclosed their location where they lived, they did not live in the same building where I was for over five years on Fennell Ave. East address. They just used to show up few days before the end of the month and few days beginning of the month. It was a duo of a older woman and a middle age tall boy who spoke same language which sounded similar to Russian language.
April 20 of 2024: Facebook login events 2FA are were seen showing wrong time stamp due to perhaps incorrect time zone, no information was found where to find such setting for login events. Information available to set the time zones is only applicable for ad management and payment method setup. I wonder what was the solution.
April 20 of 2024: it was noticed in April this year that some air lines loyalty programs (i.e. miles programmes) were printing some statements by wrong names (i.e. inconsistent with the passport and e-tkt purchased etc.) which is a security and personal safety issue. There I have decided to opt out of all such loyalty programs. Travellers can still travel without enrolling/registering or login in such programs. I would rather donate these accrued miles to a charity/cause etc. I prefer inexpensive ticket /e-tkt than the miles accumulated. Inconsistency can cause complications at critical moments in travel. No more points/miles.
April 21 of 2024: travelling agency fursan contacted me regarding the wrong date of departure Etihad miles ptogram. I provided the necessary documentation e-tkt etc. to show the wrong date in the airlines record.
April 22 of 2024: exchange of information with the travelling agency about the wrong departure date via WhatsApp. After that contacted the Etihad Airways directly and asked them to correct mistake, and asked them to close the member account, I can travel without the member number as well because I have a passport. Not interested in these memberships, due to wrong record keeping.
April 25 of 2024: In Canada I used to ask before considering a place to rent if there was any previous tenants who lived in the building under my name (i.e. impostors and history of the building) before me, in this building in Alkhobar, I did not ask for this information. My rental paper to live in this building was signed on March 07 of 2024 (corresponding to 26/8/1445AH), so I am not responsible for the actions and behaviours of others who lived in this building prior to me with similar names as me.
April 27 of 2024: by 10h00 am this morning no one came to talk to me about the rent matter, not sure if they want to receive rent from me 7th to 7th of every month (rent paper was issued on 7th in March 2024) or they want to receive First to First of every month.
April 27 of 2024: in the evening around 18h30 used an ATM to take money out of my checking account and bought some groceries from Mazraa farm 16. A guard at the entrance door of Mazraa farm 16 asked me to leave my laptop bag with him. I picked up my laptop bag after checkout and before leaving the store.
April 28 of 2024: Two unusual and notable names I came across in this part of the planet earth (????? Majnoon) and (Khalid Majzoob) in addition to (Khalid Alamiri). In my 1980 graduation group of Engineering class from DCET/NED in Karachi, there was an Engineer by the name of (Khalid Saeed, son of a banker) became a banker after Engineering Degree.
April 28 of 2024: Bangla language speaking person knocked on my door around 15h55 and asked for paisa, I told him I have no paisa, I have riyals. I asked him for the amount he was asking for and the receipt for it, he did not ptoduce the receipt. He said 700.00 riyals which was considered remaining if the period was 7th April to 7th May, otherwise if the period was ending on the April 30, there was no remaining balance (i.e. NO arrears), and the next rent would have been due on the First of May which he did not (did NOT) agree to calendar month for the monthly rent. I requested him that if he does not want to make it monthly from first to first than it should be on the same date every month, i.e. 7th of every month, because rental paper was signed and issued on the 7th of the month of March. He was talking about it like a hotel bill. I asked him what is the name of the hotel. There was no name of the hotel, no name was given. In monthly rent they don’t tell about three pm limit to pay up. Monthly rent is by the date not by the time of the day. He said something about “Khali karo خالی کرو”. I wonder who is the supervisor of this man. Somebody should teach him about these basics of this business. I asked him for a witness to see the transaction, he said no witness, so I looked towards the camera above the elevator pointing at me door 301 and said, camera witness. He said something in his language, I said that was allowed to use camera eitness. This rent (2100+700 =2800) will now end on the sixth of May 2024, so the rent for the next period will be due a day after on the 7th during normal business hours (i.e. if I want to continue in the same place), he was not able to understand this common sense, reasoning. This is not a hotel. Mohammed did not tell me about hotel. Monthly rent does not end at a specific time of the last day, monthly rent is paid by the date, on a specific date every month.

April 29 of 2024: that man knocked on my door around 14h00 with a printed receipt but wrong name, shows a middle name, I have no middle name as per the passport, thia company has checked my passport and entered the details in their system. Accepting a receipt with middle name might cause a problem in future. So I requested him to get it corrected. He knocked again around 14h30 and does not want to correct the name. I said write the passport number in the receipt. Before renting they checked my passport and entered the information in their computer. Why is it so difficult for these people to make a correct receipt. If they don’t believe they can call the embassy with passport number to find out the correct name on the passport. they made a mistake, so they should be willing to fix it rather than resist it. I never used any middle names. So why now. It can create a problem for me in future.
Knock was heard on the door around 15h50 and a combined receipt of total amount of 5600.00 SAR showing my passport number was handed to me, for the periods March 07 to April 06 and April 07 to May 06 of 2024, since this was monthly arrangement May 06 full day is covered by this rent. I hope there will be no dispute about it. (Since I found another place starting from May 02, which was before their cutoff date, I moved out of 301 earlier and there were no concerns now about it anymore. This incurred in financial loss due to overlapped paid days of May 2024.)

Middle name on the rent receipt was data entry and clerical/operator error. In this situation name on my passport will prevail, passport number was shown on this rent receipt.
April 29 of 2024: filed my tax forms for the year 2023 with what ever information was available to me at this time in Alkhobar, no information if there were any documents mailed to me to my Ottawa address by OAS for tax filing purpose.
April 30 of 2024: last day of the month. Visited Zain retail store to get the pre paid package changed, but their system was having some difficulty so I did myself at home using my phone.
