TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN/INTEREST
First time since 1993 to sign a lease with Ottawa Community Housing (OCH), in the past since 1993, I always rented at privately owned properties without involving OCH such as Minto in Ottawa and O’Shanter Fair View Cadillac in Willowdale Toronto. In the past I was renting for my immediate family including myself but since my family was disintegrated about 20 years ago, I am renting with OCH for myself because I am OW recipient and this was arranged by the housing worker assigned to assess my housing needs. I hope (and expecting) this will be a pleasant and trouble free experience before I leave from Canada permanently back to my country of previous residence Saudi Arabia, where I lived before immigration to Canada in 1993.
Central air (cooling) was not turned on yet in my apartment 307, as I felt around 18h50 on July 28 of 2023, also the door of the closet in the bedroom was not opening, either was stuck by the paint or due to some other problem.
July 29 of 2023: around 10h30 – A kind Senior woman guided me to show the Laundry in the building on Floor 1 near the trash room. Laundry door did not open on first attempt, required bit of a pushing and pulling after fob green light on the reader.
It felt like there were segments of variable temperatures while I was walking in the corridor towards my apartment 307, some segments were hotter than the others relatively. Perhaps due to stagnant air in the corridor and lack of air circulation and ventilation. All the power outlets in the apartment were not turned on, only done were turned on.
