Late night/early morning Between 02h30 and 03h30 on June 14 of 2023 man in bed 257 was heard using the locker #257 couple of times, it was very dark, was not visible, perhaps used shower or change room etc. or prepared to go somewhere.
07h45 on June 14 of 2023 no end of line was in sight yet for the morning meal in the intake hallway.
Since I am not the owner of any property, I have no rental income. I am in the process of renting a place for myself on monthly rent based on the OW guide lines. I am renting as a tenant (to pay rent), but not as a owner (not for rental Income). I am trying to rent in Ottawa as a tenant to house myself.
One person was seen fiddling with the lock of the main entrance door of 35 waller Street shelter in Ottawa when I came out of the front door after using the bathroom briefly around 15h45. A stool was seen in the door and the man was using a heavy duty screw driver (with long shank) in a panicy situation. Dated June 14 of 2023. When I was waiting at the window to ask for some information an unknown man said to the person sitting in a chair at the window “somebody wants to check-in for a bed” etc. Bed check in start at 16h00 but there was already a line up at 15h45. Around 16h35 he was seen using a power drill on the upper corner of the door.
I wonder how long the dinner line will go before it ends before 17h00. People were seen standing in a line up at the full size glass door of the dinning hall before 16h30 when I entered the shelter around 16h25, a long line up. I got a chance to enter the dinning hall around 16h50, I showed the time on my phone to the person marking the bed numbers on the sheets, asked her much time I will get to eat, she replied 10 minutes. Burger served tasted like rotten meat, so I just swallowed a bite of it and dumped the rest in the trash for the pets. I just ate fries and the salad.
Just a reminder that I am using my winter coat to keep my clothes dry in light rain in Ottawa. I know it is hot but to keep my clothes on I need to use the winter coat on the top of jacket because I have no vehicle, I walk or use OCtranspo public transit. So do not believe wrong readings of people who talk about normal, abnormal etc. trashy and mindless talk. I am aware of the weather and my surroundings in Ottawa. What I am doing has a reason under the circumstances and situation I am in. That’s why I want to go back home to the country of my previous residency where I lived before coming to Canada in1993 as Landed family.
Housing worker of the shelter Elizabeth Abit contacted me around 09h30 by text message to see her today on June 15 of 2023, I met with her around 11h30 at 29 Waller Street which is a building adjacent to the Shelter 35 Waller Street before at lunch around 11h45. I find it very strange they were not able find the application submitted by me in Brampton in August of 2022 to Jennifer Reposo case worker of OW Peel Region, as part of the other paper work requirement. Housing worker wants me to do another application with the help of a OW case worker in Ottawa which will not be Ashley Viau, because she was on vacation. I have experienced similar situations in the past as well, many years ago when I was submitting application and resumes, after submitting during follow ups I was told there was no application, there was no resume as if someone was erasing the records and my past.
Uniformed security guards were commonly seen on public transit in Ottawa, same as were seen in Brampton. Once I saw a bus full of uniformed security guards and very few civilian passengers on Bus route 18 towards City centre mall in Brampton.
Went to 35 Waller Street around 16h15 on June 15 of 2023 to check-in for my bed 255, sheltered appeared o ver crowded so did not wait for the dinner and came out, to go back later. As I came out of 35 Waller Street, Housing worker Elizabeth Abit was seen coming out of the 29 Waller Street client services centre around the same time.
It was noticed that people who work in the office go upstairs from the office through a secret passage (not in use of residents) that connects to the upper level. On June 16 of 2023 around 07h00, A man was seen on a round of the floor perhaps from the office, he went back downstairs through the long narrow passage (corridor like passage) that goes downstairs near the chapel. So on the upper level where my dorm was located there seems to be three passages, one passage is the secret passage from the office area, other passage is near the windows which opens downs stairs through C1 door in the hallways and third passage is through the long narrow corridor like passage that opens near the chapel downstairs. Some people were seen entering a basement door which was located near offices area (i.e. Jessie’s office around chapel) and a man was seen coming out of a basement door which opens in the street towards 29 waller Street, so there seems to be a passage through the basement as well.
The sound of pumping or spring in the pump woke me up around 01am late night. Sounded like (spring pump sound) and smelled like spray deodorant or something else was used in the dorm around 01h00 near my bed 255 on June 16 of 2023 in the dorm, asked the staff downstairs if they allowed any one to do it. The person I spoke replied he will check on his next round up. So most likely it happened during his round upstairs. (This disturbance at night changed my wakeup time in the morning).
A announcement was heard to wake up 07h00, as soon as I entered the hallway through door C1 around few minutes after 07h00, a man was heard saying that they open this side at 07h00 and a man was seen rushing towards the intake windows, as if he was staring at the door, when the door will open. I am not sure why, I am not part of their working group. On June 16 of 2023
On June 16 of 2023- Centre Town Health Centre repeatedly calls me by my incomplete name despite my repeated requests to use my complete name. I waited at the Centre Town Health Centre to see Social worker Brook L. Davis as a walk in client. I was sent to the waiting area around 12h50, a man came out of office and spoke to me, I said I was waiting for social worker Brook L. Davis to find out my departure date from Canada. He kept on addressing me as “Khalid”, how can they be sure whose file they were looking at if they do not use complete name to address people. This is NOT personal environment like home environment, for official work they should address people by complete name. For the staff of this centre I should be {Khalid Mahmood} not anything else. I saw a glimpse of Brook L. Davis when I entered the appointments area around 12h15 as she was leaving and said hi to me, I responded to her with “hi” . At 12h15 I was told to come back by 12h50. I asked if I could wait, I was told to wait in the lobby like hallway. I have been a client of this location since early April of 2023 (I am not counting my previous consultations period at this location since 2006/2007).

On June 16 of 2023 around 04h30 when I went upstairs after bed check-in at the window on June 16 of 2023 around 16h30, another person was seen using my bed, his clothes scattered all over the place, locker 259 was seen open, I asked him if bed 255 was assigned to him, he said 259, I showed him and told him that he was in bed 255, so he got out if my bed 255 and went into bed 259, bed he left his stuff on my bed 255 and other stuff around my bed. Staff leaves a note on bed 255 because of others stuff scattered all around. Very strange. I reported this incident to the staff at the windows downstairs immediately. Same person was seen using my bed on June 18 of 2023 when returned to dorm after using the washroom around 06h50 am, his clothes were seen in my bed 255 and he was seen stuff the locker 259 few minutes later he went back to his bed 259.
Quote “We do not archive all documents sent to us, as not all are required to be kept on file. If they are not required to be kept on file, they are deleted. Documents that are deleted, are removed from the system entirely after 30 days.” UnQuote. This was the response from a OW case worker from Brampton on June 16 of 2023 on my file who asked me to submit CPP and OAS applications as a requirement for OW in Brampton Peel Region in August 2022. If the CPP and OAS applications were not kept in records, why would they ask for these applications. Something to think about. Why did they not submit/forward the applications to the respective departments or why did they not return the applications back to me.
June 19 of 2023 around 15h15- Elizabeth Abit wants me to submit another set of application for OAS and CPP based on wrong information that it was not complied in Brampton. I complied with the Brampton requirement and submitted the applications. She asked me to cooperate. I said I cooperate in legal matters. Ottawa OW should give it to me in writing to submit another set of applications for CPP and OAS, because I have already done my part in this respect. OW should try to find out what happened to the applications which were submitted earlier in August 2022 through Brampton office, if they did not archive or did not keep the records of important documents. It is a legal matter. My concern is that if some one was holding my original applications in a drawer or as a pdf file after scanning, than submitting another set of applications to OAS and CPP may be considered fraud by the govt. That’s why I need it in writing from OW to submit another set of applications stating and acknowledging the previous applications and why there was a need for another set of applications for my protection. Only address has changed from Brampton to Ottawa, which is not a secret, OW and revenue Canada records have been updated with my current address, all other information is still valid.
First time since April 03 of 2023, that for the second meal of the day there was no line up at 11h10 just few people ahead of me, I entered the dinning hall around 11h10 am, got my lunch and was able to come out of the dinning hall by 11h20-ish after finishing my lunch. Daily it should be like this for each meal, better line management instead of every one in the line at the same time crowding and causing congestion at the place. Documented on April 18 of 2023 by {Khalid Mahmood} bed 255 who does not use a tray just use a plate for meal (mostly, rarely might use a tray).
Some one used locker number 259 in the dark around 22h20 on 06/18/2023 when I was in my bed 255, I stepped out of the shelter after that around 22h30 for some fresh air, too many people were coughing and farting in small dorm with 4×2 bunk beds (four double bunk beds and 8 lockers.). When I was assigned bed 255 in April 2023 , a combination lock was seen in locker number 259, recently for few days locker number 259 was seen without a locker than a regular non-combination lock was seen in locker 259 and on June 19 of 2023 in the morning around 06h50 am there was no locker. Since locker 259 is adjacent to my bed 255, this is a concern for me. People who use locker 259 may be creating some kind of deception, or fooling some one. Locker 259 was not and is not in my use because I have my own corresponding locker 255 with my bed 255 where I have my belongings and a small suit case in it. Just waiting for a flight to go back home to country of my previous residency before coming to Canada in 1993. Locker 259 and Bed 259 is not in my use and was never in my use ever before. Initially on April 03 intake worker assigned me bed 319 which was changed on April 13 to 255.
As soon as I entered the shelter around 21h35 on June 20 of 2023 as soon as I entered the shelter, a man was going out doors, on his way out he whispered in my ear “move”, not sure if this message was meant for me or somebody else. (Perhaps he was under deception and passed a message to me which was meant for some one else). I can’t move without a house, I am in search of a house.
Some one used the locker 259 around 05h45 , which made a loud bang to open, a man took a red color reusable shopping bag which had some contents in it, from the locker and went to the bathroom. The man in bed 256 came down around 05h55 and went to the bathroom. dated June 21 of 2023
Some one by the name of Vicky Brasil from OW recorded a voice message on my phone on June 20 and June 21. On June 20th I went to the 370 Catherine St. to talk to her on their internal phones, person on the extension number provided in the message did not answer, so I recorded a message asking her to write me an email or a letter for the reason of her calls and the paper work she was talking about in her message. I NEED TO KNOW THE AGENDA OF THE MEETING AHEAD OF TIME, BEFORE MEETING THE NEW CASE WORKERS. If any preparation was required, any requirements, any documents to bring to the meeting. etc. !!
June 22 of 2023: went to Ottawa City Hall to notarize an affidavit I wrote regarding my CPP and OAS applications. Next went to 309 Cooper Street to get a losing of rental units available. Submitted the list to Shelter housing worker Elizabeth around 11h45, next went to 370 Catherine Street, called the case worker regarding paper work around 12h30, she has booked a meeting on Wednesday day June 28 of 2023. June 22 of 2023, While I was waiting at the bus stop at Bronson and Gladstone intersection a man asked me for some help with a bus ticket, I referred him to the 370 Catherine St. – A man who recently started coming to the shelter and was seen in meals line up was seen getting on the same bus route 14 (east bound) at Gladstone and Kent stop as I was getting off the bus around 13h00, same man was seen on west bound route 14 around 08h00 on June 23 of 2023.
Tim Horton’s located at bank and hunt club was seen under yellow tape and men were working on ladder, perhaps location was closed for renovation or permanently as was seen on June 23 of 2023 around 09h 15 am. This location was one of my very first locations I used in 1996 for lunch or breaks when I worked at Krypton Systems in Ottawa.
I went to a alterna savings at Bank street/Hunt Club near McDonald’s after coming out of Greensboro Library, teller refused to exchange my $100 note without a account with alterna savings. As I was leaving a man waiting behind me in the line spoke to me, said he has account with alterna and can help me exchange the $100 for smaller notes, I gave him the $100 note but immediately took it back because I did not want to involve in any frauds with such people. I did not want to bypass their unfriendly system. (Exchanging a note with other denomination notes is not a complicated matter and does not require a bank account, even machines can do that, casinos have such machines, Laundromats have machines for note to coin change similarly machines can do note to note change. No account required. They were just unfriendly people, crooks and swindlers. They did not go through scrutiny of public, just some how got in these positions.). I told him that and took my note back from him immediately and came out of the branch, documented on June 23 of 2023 around noon time.
Girl marking the bed numbers on sheet in the dinning hall (June 24 of 2023 around 07h45) called me “Khalid” twice, I tried to tell her my complete name on the list.
Some one sneezed as I was passing by a table with a cup of coffee at LE Moulin De Provence restaurant in Byward market on June 24 of 2023 around 09h06 am.
June 25 of 2023 around 07h45, a man came from behind me to take a tray when I was in the line up for morning meal and said something to me, perhaps he was new guest of the shelter, never seen before.
One younger looking male passenger was seen depositing a $5.00 note in OCTranspo fare box on June 25 of 2023 around 08h25 at Bank and Laurier stop route 11 (Bus number 6680) towards Bayshore.
My winter coat was not stolen which was left behind on a bench at a stop on Richmond/island park on Sunday June 25 around 09h30. I am using my winter coat as rain coat to keep dry in light rain/showers. An old woman was seen sitting in the bench on the other half of the bench.
A man asked me for dollar when I was waiting for a bus at Rideau Stop around 11h30 on June 25 of 2023, I referred him to go the shelter at 35 Waller Street. Another man sitting at Sussex near York asked me to spare a Dollar for coffee, said anything would help around 21h30 on June 25 of 2023.
On June 23 of 2023 around 12h45 a OCTranspo bus nearly full of Police officers stopped at Lansdowne stop near Seniors centre with “out of service” sign. One girl moste like a student rushed to the bus perhaps without reading the “out of service” sign, bus driver stopped her and pointed her to the other buses coming behind the “out of service bus”. If the bus was “out of service” not picking up passengers, driver should not open the front door to signal the passengers waiting that the bus was “out of service”.
June 25 of 2023: I checked-in at the window for bed around 16h15. During dinner time or that it was announced on PA system that there will be bed check-in between four and six pm. Later on another announcement was for the snacks time change just for the day of April 25 07h30 pm and 09h30 pm.
A man by the name of “Rob” came to the dorm to shake hand with the man in bed 257 and also with me in bed 255 on June 25 around 18h00. Before that some one used the locker 259 which a lock now, and made a loud bang noise to open it. Locker 259 is very close to the head board of bed 255 which may be dangerous when they use locker 259 because locker 259 is very sticky and perhaps requires lot of force for them to open and makes a loud bang to open so I use the footboard side as head board to keep me safe.
adult scooters which people were seen using in Ottawa do not have USB ports, now a days nearly any thing that uses batteries have USB ports. Bad design. I asked a kid who was using an adult scooter and stopped very close to me around 21h00 on June 25 of 2023 at York Street near “OTTAWA” Letters.
The man in bed 256 which is above my bed 255 was making strange sounds since 23h00 (06/25/2023) like he had some digestion trouble and was about to throw up (i.e. vomit) so I came outdoors for fresh air around 15 minutes after mid night on June 26 of 2023.
