A Suggestion to the Provincial Govt. of Ontario and relevant authorities through my area MPP that format of the names on health card and driver’s licence should be made identical to avoid confusion for people who are not familiar with the different formats used for names on the IDs. Most of my letters that I receive use a format of the name which is on the health card, but drivers licence uses a comma format of the name. Because of which inexperienced staff of the offices (perhaps Canada Post staff as well) and new comers to the country might consider that as mail theft because name on the licence (which is taken as ID) is in different format than the name on the mails and packages. Name of the mail and packages matches with the name on the health card. Most people pretend to forget or pretend not to know the rule of two pieces of IDs to confirm someone’s identity positively. At the same time I propose that it is about time to consider to use QR codes on the envelopes, packages etc. instead of full names, to prevent disputes and theft. Something to think about.
