Postal codes on Google chrome browser – what is the purpose ?

I wonder what is the purpose of showing postal codes on browser if the codes shown do not match with the true physical location where the browser is being used. I have noticed many times that google browser shows wrong postal codes on my phone, I assumed it was an issue with accuracy of algorithms and equipment involved in determining the correct location / postal code. Now I believe it is not so, it is something different (more serious than that i.e. to create a deception of some one travelling ) because at times it shows out of province switching here and there postal codes which is questionable and can not be considered inaccuracy/accuracy issue. I proposed many times that Google should stop showing postal codes on the browser or instead of sensing it remotely Google should show the postal code which is available on the address in the profile for the log in users. Also Google should include a button somewhere on the top of the browser labelled “show my current location“. and sense location remotely as accurately as possible (within acceptable range of tolerance + or – % deviation from the precise location) but to show out of province or wrong postal code is unacceptable.

Showing wrong postal code can be dangerous/fatal for people in certain situations.
