March 2025 daily log of personal experiences, events and misc. documentation and memos etc., updated frequently. Just a reminder to whom it may interest and to whom it may concern that I am a Canadian Citizen of Asian heritage (Urdu Mother Language in addition to my First language English) and Engineer by Education and Profession. First time ever, arrived in CANADA at YYZ airport in December 1993 as landed family is (which got disintegrated over the years during the past 30 years). Date of creation of this log was March 01 of 2025 in Ottawa Ontario Canada.

TO WHOM IT MAY INTEREST

March 01 of 2025: Rent paid to OCH by BMO automated system. My BMO account was debited for the monthly rent amount. ATM machine was out of paper, did not print mini statement, so I got a mini statement printed at a branch to show if required that my rent has gone out of my possession on first, but the bank statement will show the transaction posted on next working day, like previous two transactions of Jan and Feb which were also on a non-working day for the banks.

March 01 of 2025: Freedomobile and Fido both mobile phone service appears to have some difficulty in providing service on my mobile numbers around 01h24, will pursue during the day time to get it resolved.

March 01 of 2025: freedommobile was in violation of service agreement, my pay before service on mobile number 613-413-9237 has service disruption since February 28 and freedommobile staff was not able to resume full service on my mobile number. Thus was violation of service agreement on the pre paid line. I was told by one store that this was happening due to phone Ulefone I was using, perhaps freedommobile has changed something in their network cell tower setup that my phone is not considered compatible, I was using the same phone since 2022 on freedomobile network and pre paid service and it was working fine. According to Freedommobile BYOD program any unclocked phone will work on their network. So not working now would be implied as due to human intervention. Bell mobility SIM was working in this same phone for the past 5 five months trouble free. What is so different about Freedomobile and Fido network.

All these mobile phone companies who sell sim cards under BYOD/BYOP program should have a demo phone available at the time of service activation in the store to show that the SIM card was fully functional and when ever there was a issue with the service they should check it in their demo or testing phone as a bench mark phone, after that it should be customers responsibility to use a phone compatible with the sim card. This should be made mandatory by the authorities and CRTC for honest operation of these mobile phone companies. Just came out of Fido store around 15h15, they have the issue. Internet not working on mobile phone, freedommobile has the same problem, internet not working on mobile phone. Internet on mobile phone is part of the plan.

March 01 of 2025: long call from Fido resolve internet connectivity issue. Same pattern as before one person takes call, authenticated, takes some information and transfers the call to another person.  It is like a duo team working together, never one person completes the task. Very unusual. Fido is a new service plan signed up on Feb 28 and no internet connectivity on mobile phone. matter was escalated to network team by the second person and a ticket number was issued. I find it very unusual. Why would they block internet connectivity on my service plan, which was signed just one day ago. Is it legal procedure or just a racism or discrimination. First time I used Fido mobile services in 1999 when there was no mobile internet connectivity/Data packets offered by Fido, it was just simple old style Nokia Phone, staff was more customer friendly, honest straight forward and generous, without negative attitudes or background politics. I never had to talk to support for any reason in the past, it was very reliable service, but not any more.

March 02 of 2025: I Called BMO bank on my VoIP phone to get the confirmation number of the rent payment transaction to OCH housing company dated March 01 of 2025 and instructed them to include the transaction date on the statement as a comment or details because since the March 01 of 2025 was on weekend transactions will be posted on March 03 but the rent was scheduled to be paid on March 01 of 2025 by the automated payment system of the bank. Late posting or late disclosure of rent payment was not late rent payment. Citizens must be protected by the social system (where it was available and applicable) and relevant agencies/authorities should meet with the tenants in person to determine the cause of the late rent payment if it was late, and how to avoid it, through a support system, and avoid the possibility of making false maliciously driven judgements against a person.

March 02 of 2025: I Called Purolator around 13h30 to cancel the Telus phone equipment delivery, because I have canceled the order, I do not want to use it at all.

March 02 of 2025: Today it was noticed that my oldest mobile number’s SIM on Rogers Wireless plan was in and out and disappearing from my phone, although it was physically inserted inbthe phone, but phone was reporting no SIM, very strange behavior of the SIM, so I decided to call Rogers to find out about it, why ??. around 16h30. No resolution, they think phone was defective, I was using the same phone Ulefone with Bell mobility SIM for several months, trouble free. My fido service and Rogers service (connected  for success) are under two separate sales agreements, different account numbers.

March 02 of 2025: I called and spoke to Rogers Bank regarding the card application to cancell/withdraw it, which was processed by the Fido Sales person at the time of mobile SIM activation on February 28 of 2025:

March 02 of 2025: mobile service started on my fido sim today after two days disruption from the time of service activation.

March 02 of 2025: Bell and Rogers SIMs were delivered to me by a courier service in 2024.

March 03 of 2025: two sim failures were faced (bad experienced) by me during the past six months, Bell SIM failed in October 2024, Just within a week after activation which was delivered to me by a courier in my apartment, I was required to go to a store to get a replacement SIM. The second SIM failure happened on Rogers SIM on March 02 of 2025 while I was calling 611, failed during the call. Rogers SIM was also delivered to me by a courier in my apartment. Are they using low quality SIMs, why do they send it by courier,  They should ask the customers to go to a store to get SIM cards if the order was placed on the phone, instead of causing a failure and then to send the customer to a store. Got both replaced at the retail service stores in Ottawa.

March 03 of 2025: Bought a motorola phone from bestbuy store at merivale , freedommobile sim seems to be functional on this phone. Further testing was in progress, did not work very well and failed by the time I reached home. I returned the product to the seller around 18h15.

March 03 of 2025: A man at Rideau St location of freedommobile does not know the speed of the data they were selling, when I asked him to call the corporate office to find out the dozed, he said he can  ot call corporate office, he said I should talk yo CRTC. They are defrauding customers openly selling without knowing their product and bullying customers to talk to CRTC. They don’t want to fulfill the sales agreement, by explaining the products they sold to me. Consumer protection agency of Canada should look into these products that they were selling without knowing, are they making a fool of customers with the help of their position of power. Is there any position of power consumers.

March 03 of 2025: when I arrived  (around 21h20) at the building 1909 Russell Rd, to get to my housing apartment 307, an OCH security vehicle was seen stopped at the property in front of the lobby/buffer zone entrance, after I entered the lobby a man was seen taking elevator #1, I tried to take the same elevator but decided not to, to check my letter box before going to my floor 3 apt 307.

March 04 of 2024: Today I decided to cancel the fido mobile service plan and signed up for a pre paid service of Rogers (offered through Chatr mobile ported the same number on Chatr pre paid service.). Visited the Walmart near Clyde to find a mobile phone compatible with freedomobile network (I have freedommobile sales agreement from this store). I bought the phone suggested to me by the Walmart mobility sales person. I am checking it out to determine if it was suitable for my needs. I was told it takes couple of hours to complete the process, during this transition spoke to fido as well completed the porting of the number. During to the heavy snow, low visibility, inclement weather usedcactaxi to come back to elm vale shopping centre.

In the evening went back to Walmart to return the wrong product, because it was of a wrong brand pre paid ibstead of freedomobile, never used before OS  “myOS” which was not standard android, my service plan with Walmart store is freedommobile,  during the cancellation/return process of the product register and the staff faced some diffulties, eventually it was completed. I was back in my apartment by 21h20, a car was seen stopped  outside the building. Due to heavy snow transit was off schedule, long waits, snow removal vehicles were seen running, ambulances, and flashing light vehicles were seen around baseline/merivale area during the time I was waiting for octranspo bus. This phine was a ZTE nubia, not very useful, first ZTE phone I used was in 2018 in Hamilton, a ZTE android 4.3, operating system was obsolete, many apps did not operate on 4.3 but that was the best ZTE and best android phone I have used up until now, it had a unique feature of SIP calls which no other phone offered to this date. Texture of the matetial used, didplay, feel and looks were superb, only draw back was android version 4.3 , memory & storage and the old technology battery.

March 05 I of 2025: Rogers/Fido/Chatr are not able to decide how to port my number fido monthly service to Chatr pre paid service. All three were located in the vicinity of  each other in the Mall. I wonder what was the hold up, I was told they want to make sure that there was no fraud in it. By delaying porting my number to pre paid service of Chatr (a sister company of Rogerscabd Fido) was a fraud by itself. I transfered my service to pre paid service 25 hours ago on March 04 of 2025 in the morning and it took more than 25 hours to complete, so what were they investigating, I wonder.

Finally I got my number ported, made a call to ported number using my number on rogers network around 14h40.

March 05 of 2025: When I ported my number from BELL to fido it was instantaneous hassell free, two different companies. But within the same company took longer to port from fido to chatr (chatr is a pre paid plan provider for both fido and rogers).

March 06 of 2025: why Telus/ Koodo charged me on February 28 of 2025. for the following transaction, I am not a user or subscriber of any of their services or product.

Unauthorized transaction on my card, please refund and reverse the charge.

I called pc Financial, they want a cancellation from Koodo, this is blocking of my funds in a transaction which did not happen. This is not acceptable. Please refund my money back to my card either by Telus/Koodo or by PC financial. These merchants/retailers should be honest and friendly towards customers/consumers. Credit card used for this transaction belongs to {Khalid Mahmood}, it does not belong to “Khalid” which is vague name. For financial and legal transactions, always complete names and account number must be used. Accounts are assigned a number at the time of setup/opening and are accessed by numbers for transactions not by the names. Those who use names to access/locate accounts are highly likely to enter the transaction in a wrong and irrelevant account.

March 06 of 2025: Today freedommobile 611 and other customer service numbers were not reachable, I wonder what happened to it, NOT in service message was playing. So, I called freedomobikr using a 800 number.

March 07 of 2025: an embulance was seen outside the building around 08h00 when I came out of the building through lounge. Since the ambulance was approaching the front entrance I decided not to be a hinderance in their operation.

March 07 of 2025: I Called Rogers tel and internet company (between 11h00 and 12h00) to find out about the plan changes which were not made by me, also called the Rogers Bank to update my information about the fido services cancellation, I was told by Rogers that a letter was on tge way in the maill, I will get it soon.

March 08 of 2025: remained indoors mos the date, except short walk to home hardware, independent grocery, star bucks and Rexall. One small transaction on my pcfinancial card failed, I thought it happened due to defective machine. In the evening I called pcfinancial to find out the reason for it, it happened due to insufficient funds, because the money I transferred onto the card on Friday March 07 was not posted yet. I feel bad about it. I apologize to Rexall for my hasty comment about their POS debit machine. Machine was okay, issue was related to pcfinancial.

March 09 of 2025: remained indoors except short walk to the store.

March 10 of 2025: Troy team was doing testing in the building, on floor there but was no announcement was made on the PA system, firealarm was heard in my suite 307 around 11h15 for couple of minutes, I immediately picked up my brief case and went to the lobby to find out what was happening. A dispute was ditected on whether the announcement was made on floor three or not in addition to the fire alarm. a PA system speaker is right outside my apartment door across from the fire extinguisher enclosure on floor three. People were seen in the AIP office. I asked a woman in the corridor if there was fire. Because of the dispute about the announcement on PA before spending the alarm, I detect an attempt to lie or create a deception. Deception about my presence in the building. Since I was in my apartment, I know what happened here, I opened my apartment door several times to find out what was happening in the corridor. One tall person said perhaps they did not make announcement on all the floors, but it was made in the lobby on floor 1. They (Troy or any one else) should make such announcement for the entire building all floors. I don’t believe lies anymore, I know what I know. I was in my apartment 307 which was in the sane building. A young female worker was seen standing in the open door of the electrical room in corridor “B”, when I passed by the corridor to get back to my apartment 307 using stairs “B”, she turned her head to look at my back or something. There were other people in the corridor.

March 10 of 2025: a bogus letter related to rent payment was received in my box. My BMO bank account was debited on March 01 of 2025 to pay my rent to OCH which was posted on March 03 of 2025 in the statement, rent payment was nit late. I am the genuine signatory lessee tenant since 2023, I have rights as well. LTB should look intobthis matter of disturbing letters, from housing company. Such letters cause unnecessary stress, defamatiin and negative image.

March 10 of 2025: Today, I visited a TD canada trust branch where I used to go for banking needs as family during 1996-1998 in addition other branches. I have been a customer of TD and Canada Trust since 1993, but they still consider me like a new or unknown customer and delay my transactions.

March 11 of 2025:  I did not order any products or services from Koodo/Telus, Koodo/Telus must call me back for any clarifications or otherwise revers the transaction of $73.40  dated Feb 28 of 2025. Thanks to Koodo mobile for completing the cancellation by reversing the charged money back to my card. Appreciated. was not completed yet as of March March 12 of 2025 around 09h00.

March 11 of 2025: since my only source of money in 2024 was from Service Canada and CRA rebates, I have decided not to file my taxes at this time. CRA computer systems can calculate my tax return automatically, because I have no income to report for the year 2024. At the time of filing bankruptcy taxes will be filed automatically as part of bankruptcy.

March 14 of 2025: I just heard in a panel discussion on live streaming session, that by tariff us govt. will loose consumer basecause of increased prices. In my opinion that nay be ibe aspect of it, but another aspect of it would be to not import into USA from foreign conutries and manufactur locally in USA to create jobs. Thus was my non-political common sense  opinion.

March 11 of 2025: fire alarms were heard around 19h30, immediately picked cked upy briefcase and went out doors, several fire trucks were seen around the buildings ng. I walked to the ELMVALE library and came back by 20h00. I entered the building from B side entrance, a guard was seen at the door to corridor, so decided no to go through the lobby, I took B side stairs to get to file 3 and my apartment.

March 12 of 2025: Telus/Koodo debited my card on February 28 of 2025 without any products or services, now to get it reversed it took about 10 to 12 days and lot of efforts. But the money was not credited back to my card yet as of today around 10h45. So, I called PC financial, I was told by the staff on the phone, merchants have rule to refund money and takes so many days to get the money back, I was also told by PC Financials card issuer that the transaction revearsal is pending because bank has rules of upto 15 working days to process the reversal from the merchant. I find this highly questionable rule in practice, that they take money from customers card without proper authorization and to get the money back takes processing times of the merchants and process times of the bank/financial jnstitution for an unauthorized transaction of $73.45 which is a very small amount of money, the rule would make some sense if the transaction amount was in the magnitude of thousands or millions of dollars. Perhaps that’s how they build heaps of money reserves for themselves by blocking money from consumers one by one.

I was on vehicle 6512 around 17h20 route 48, because of a detour it went through a slightly different neighborhood. bound for Elmvale. I was back at my place by 1745.

March 12 of 2025: Somebody left a blank voice message on my chtr prepaid line which I retried around 18h00 when I git a chance.

March 13 of 2025: Today around 10h00 I checked my pc financial account and found that the unauthorized transaction was reversed and my same card has been credited. But there was another reversal seen in process on the same card which I will not accept. Monitoring of the situation continues, why this was happening.

I called pc financials about this situation around 10h30 and also, I have submitted a complaint to pcfinancials about a specific merchant that Koodo was posting wrong and unauthorized transactions on my PC WMC, so warch it and do not postbut without my personal authorization.

March 14 of 2025: on phone with freedommobile for some payment related matter, which was resolved in a timely manner, quickly without dragging it.

March 14 of 2025: I am not a magician, I do not know any magical tricks, but technology itself is still or was considered magic when not well understood due to lack of knowledge and lack of necessary education. Examples, like in the past couple of hundred years ago light bulbs, other inventions were considered magicians’ hat tricks. But not anymore.

March 14 of 2025: stepped out of my apartment for a walk around 19h00, went to Lyon stop of oc-transpo line in downtown area, visited a restaurant to find out about their happy hour specials on beverages, walked around a bit and came back to my apartment by 21h20 via lansdowne/Billingsbridge and Elmvale. A loudly speaking man with lot of placards, including a yellow color VOTE sign was on vehicle route 46 from Billingsbridge.

March 15 of 2025: today I got out of my bed around 08h00, now I was getting ready for the this day around 10h00. I have my daily log displayed on my Philips monitor on the wall in my apartment. During the past two hours, I ate ice cream and drank a cup of coffee. Also played a little bit with my electronics toys checked internet speed today on my Philips monitor and other misc activities.

March 16 of 2025: around 10h00 I went outdoors for a walk, checked breakfast place, was too busy for a take out required some wait time, bought a cup of coffee with a cookie from Starbucks, consumed it in the shop before heading back to my apartment. This was a rainy, foggy and mild winter day in Ottawa Ontario Canada. On my way back one tall person asked me the departure time of route 55 when I was checking the schedule of route 46.
