A strange but unavoidable coincidence that first three months of 2025 have first day of the month fall on a non-working day i.e. on a holiday which will cause rent payment delay, not a tenant’s fault, it was just that the banking system can not process rent on a holiday. Housing companies and authorities must keep this in mind that first three rent payments of 2025 will be on a date other than the first of the month. Banks should fix their systems for bill and rent payment. Apparently by looking at the statements, consecutively three months in a row,  first days of the month, not showing rent payment may be interpreted as a bad omen and habitual late rent, but it was due to reasons beyond a human’s control. So what was the solution. It is govt’s responsibility to protect tenants,  intervene and fix  the banking reporting systems immediately.

Januray 01 of 2025 : New year’s public holiday

Rent payment deducted on the first but posting on the statement was shown on January 02.

January 2025 rent paid on the first of the month but transactiin was reported on the next working day.

February 01 of 2025: Saturday

Rent payment deducted on the first but posting on the statement was shown on February 03.

February 2025 rent paid on the first but the transaction was reported on the next working day.

March 01 of 2025: Saturday

Rent payment will be deducted (debited) from my account on the first but posting on the statement will be shown on March 03.
